The EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) came into force on 25 May 2018.
The new Regulation aims to standardise data protection laws and processing across the EU, giving people greater rights to access and control their personal information.
Our Commitment
PJW International Limited (otherwise “we”/ “our” / “us”) are committed to ensuring protection of all personal information that we hold, and to provide and to protect all such data. We recognise our obligations in ensuring all personal data is managed in accordance with the requirements of all data protection legislation, including GDPR. Our practice is summarised below.
Personal data shall be:
- Processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner.
- Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes
- Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed
- Accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date
- Kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed
- Processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures
We respect our client’s rights to data privacy and protection and as such we are committed to compliance with the GDPR as both a processor and controller of personal data.
We understand that continuous awareness and understanding is vital to the continued compliance of the GDPR and have placed a high priority on protecting and managing data in accordance with accepted standards.
